Itàlico began with a love for italy that was never just about the places.
It is the language overheard at the bar. The smell of coffee and rosemary drifting through an open window. A table that turns lunch into an afternoon. Old recipes, beautiful objects, local traditions, books, gestures, stories — all the little things that make Italy unmistakably Italian.
As a Romance Studies scholar, I wanted to create a place where that fascination could live beyond the usual clichés of la dolce vita. A place to look closer, dig deeper and fall in love with the culture behind the beauty.
The name Italico, from the Latin Italicus — of Italy — captures exactly that idea.
